Wonderland Residents Cards
The new Wonderland Dwellers cards focus on giving, gaining, and discarding shards during the War Phase. These cards allow players to risk gaining more shards for big boosts, as well as new ways to dispose of shards or give them to other players. The competition to earn the extra madness token at the end of the next Tea Phase now begins during the War Phase.
Boss Quests and Double Achievements
The two new quest types give players more opportunities to score quest points. Leader quests can be completed in any region, as long as your leader is present. Dual achievement quests feature two achievements that can be completed, giving players more reasons to enter the fray in different regions.
Battle Start Reward
The Dark Sword not only marks the location of the starting battle, it also grants a significant bonus to the winner of that battle. This double-faced card adds more texture to the choice of where to send your followers and which battles you will attempt to win each turn.
The Shards of Splendor expansion features a full set of new Wonderland Resident cards that highlight Shards as a resource, new quest types that will push your strategy in new directions, and a starting battle reward that incentivizes winning the first battle region.
